Death and Taxes

What are the two known constants in life? Yep, death and taxes. And tax time is right around the corner. But if you are interested in filing early, here are some tips:

FEDERAL TAX FORMS

~If you are in need of a federal tax form, you can go to http://www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs and print out a copy of the form wanted.

~If you need help or advice from your local IRS, here is their contact information. They also provide tax forms as supplies last.

Georgia State Tax Forms

~The Houston County Public Library System will be receiving the Ga 500-EZ forms at the end of January. So if you are in need of a Georgia tax form, you can ask for one at your local library. *Available while supplies last.

~Also the Georgia Department of Revenue has a website, https://etax.dor.ga.gov, that provides forms and information for filing with Georgia.

Senior Citizens

If you are a Senior Citizens or a low income household, you can file you taxes for free at the Warner Robins Senior Citizen Activities Building. This will start the week of February, Monday – Friday, from 10am to 4pm, and continue until mid-April.
