The first week starts with Ms. Yolanda as a penguin! She’s just getting warmed up for a month of fun. She’ll be sharing some playful penguin books, songs and activities!
During the first and second weeks of December our homeschool group will also be working on Holiday Poems & Greeting Cards.
The second week of December is dedicated to Gingerbread… Yum! In keeping with the yummy theme, Ms. Yolanda has organized a visit with the big guy in red. Santa will be at Perry Public Library on Tuesday, December 11 at 6:00pm. He will share cookies and stories with children up to 5th grade. This event does require registration, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
The week of December 17th is all about snow! The story times will have the theme of Let It Snow, with stories, songs and activities all about the fluffy white stuff. The homeschoolers will focus on snowflakes and Wilson Bentley. Don’t know who he is? Well come on in and find out!
The week of December 24th will have a slightly altered schedule due to the library being closed on the 24th & 25th for Christmas. The lapsit will still have their storytime on Thursday, the 27th with the theme of polar animals. The homeschoolers though will learn about the variety of New Year Celebrations around the world.
Ms. Yolanda wraps up the month with a storytime pajama party! Children are invited to wear their jammies to the December 31st story times while they explore New Years through stories, activities, and fun!
Perry story times are offered at the following times:
Toddler (2-3 years old) Mondays 10:30 am
Pre-K (4-5 years old) Mondays 11:15 am
Lapsit (1-2 years old) Thursdays 10:30 am
Homeschool (All Ages) Thursdays 11:15 am
We hope to see you this December!
