What’s Happening at Centerville in August! – Ready

With summer reading over and school back in session, we soon will start our fall story time schedule.  Story times start the week of August 27th. But don’t worry we still have a lot going on for all ages.

On the 4th, we had Lincoln and Kajdi from CAREing P.A.W.S.  This program is offer every month for children, who are able to read on their own, to come read to the dogs.  If you would like to know more about this program check out their website or call your local library.  Our next two dates are September 8th and September 15.

The 7th we held our monthly Bedtime Stories for all ages.  During this nighttime story time, you can come in your PJs and bring your favorite stuffed animal, to listen to some of your favorite bedtime stories.  Bedtime story times are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm.  Our next one will be September 4th.

Calling all Homeschool parents!!! We will be meeting on August 14th at 2 pm to discuss setting a time for homeschool group to meet and we will be discussing your and our goals for the school year. So bring your thinking caps!

On the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm, we will be holding our Teen Nights (11+).  For this months teen night, one of our very own teens, Beni Chin-A-Young, will be teaching us how to make Origami!  Visit the library to see some of his work.

For the first time ever we are having an open house. Drop by the library on the 23rd between the hours of 6:00 –  7:30 pm.  During this time you will get to meet and greet the staff and tour the library.

We are excited to be adding a Teen Night just for High School teens! We will be meeting monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm.  This month we are planning an Interactive Mystery at the library on the 28th.

For the week of the 27th – 1st Story times begin!!! Lapsit will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am.  Both story times are the same.  Thursdays we will be having Toddlers  at 10:30 am and Pre-K at 11:30 am.
