Congratulations Avery & Jasmine!
You are our Next Teen Entrepreneurs!!
Perry Library’s Next Teen Entrepreneur Competition was held as part of the Teen Vacation Reading Program. Teens began with a business building workshop presented by Josh Walton of The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center. The teens were then set free, limited only by their own imaginations, to develop their own business ideas. To participate in the America’s Next Teen Entrepreneur competition they were to develop their own business plans and present their ideas to a panel of business professionals.
Avery and Jasmine developed a service to help improve teens academic success. They researched the organizational structure and financing necessary to start-up and sustain operations. The girls also conducted market research to include competitive analysis and expansion capabilities. After all of this hard work, they wrapped it all up into a professional business plan.
Avery and Jasmine presented their business plan at the competition. The competition judges were Jae Madison of Exodus Photography, Jennifer Lautzenheiser formerly of Lautzy Soap, and Shane Gottwals of Gottwals Books.
In addition to mentoring and guidance from the judges, Avery and Jasmine both received an assortment of prizes from Domino’s Pizza, Papa John’s Pizza, Phat Boyz, Exodus Photography, Gottwals Books and Wild Adventures Theme Park.
Congratulations Avery and Jasmine!
