Go Fish for some free fun @ the library!

The Houston County Public Library System is racking up the free fun for your family!

The Go Fish Education Center here in Perry, Georgia is the newest addition to our free resources.  Use the simulators to try out boating and fishing or go out to the fish pond and fish for real!

The aquariums offer over 80 species of fish and wild life found throughout our state. They even have live alligators!!

Other exhibits include a high-definition theater, an interactive watershed station and replicas of the world record bass ~ caught right in Georgia waters!! The fish hatchery gives a sneak peek at how fish are raised as well. Even veteran fisherman will find the visit helpful as they offer ‘Reel Tips’ on how and where to fish around Georgia.

The Go Fish passes can be checked out for 7 days using your library card. The pass covers the admission of 6 individuals. This service comes courtesy of a partnership between Georgia Public Library System and Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The Go Fish program joins our other free family fun activities of the Atlanta Zoo and Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites.
