Below is a highlight of programs being held during the month of January at the Nola Brantley Memorial Library:
Saturday, January 14: READing Paws
These dogs were so cute last month, we just had to have them back! READing Paws provides registered therapy dogs and owners/handlers. These dogs just love listening to children read, so this is the perfect opportunity for your child to exercise newly developed reading skills in a fun and comfortable environment. The program is appropriate for ages 5-18 and slots are available between 12 and 2 PM. sign-up is required. Hurry – spaces fill quickly, so register your child ASAP!

Thursday, January 26: Zombies vs. Humans Lock-In
Remember up there when I told you to keep reading? Well here it is, folks – the most horrific and bone-chilling program to date! We have saved the best for last in this battle between those chosen to be zombies and those who remain human and plan to overcome them. But, who will win? If you are between the ages of 10 and 17, you are welcome to join us in this epic gaming battle. Will the humans win, or will you become a zombie too? The program will take place on Thursday the 26th between 5:30 and 7 PM. That’s right, you will be locked inside the library after hours. Yikes! Food will be served and sign up is requested. *A parent must be present for all children under the age of 12*
All Houston County Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
If you would like to sign up for any of these programs or receive additional information, contact the Nola Brantley Memorial Library at (478)923-0128 or email email@example.com.
