Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites Pass

Do you love the nature and the great outdoor? Would you love to visit one of Georgia’s many state parks or historic sites? Well you can…with your library card!

Did you know that every PINES library has at least one Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites pass?  Here in Houston County we have 11 park passes available for check out.  In the PINES system there are over 1,000 passes for you to check out.

Any Georgian who holds a valid library card can borrow a Georgia State Park “ParkPass” and Historic Site Pass from their local libraries. The passes are good for free parking or admission at any of the 63 parks and historic sites statewide for up to five days.   In the Park Pass packet from the library there is a pamphlet offers you all the information about  the amenities available at each park or historic site, such as, campsites, picnic areas/shelters,  water activities and much more.

Get Outdoors Georgia (GO Georgia) shows families how easy and fun it is to get outdoors and get fit. Helping to spread the word is our fun-loving gopher, who challenges everyone to head to a state park and take advantage of all the opportunities to: Get Out. Get Dirty. Get Fit.

So take your family or yourself to a state park or historic site and see how much fun being outdoors can be. Come discover the treasures of Georgia in your own backyard.Get Outdoors Georgia Mascot: the Georgia Gopher
