Bedtime Storytime

Ever feel like going out in your PJs? Well now you can, at least to the libraries.  Houston County Public Libraries provides Bedtime Stories program at two of their branches. During this fun program, patrons can come dressed in their pajamas to enjoy hearing bedtime stories read out loud. This program is for all ages and is a wonderful way to wind down the evening with little ones. The Bedtime Stories program takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at the Centerville Library at 6:30 p.m. and the Perry Public Library on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.

At Centerville’s October bedtime storytime, Ms. Amanda read “Ugly Pie” by Lisa Wheeler.

The children loved the book about Ol’ Bear on a hunt for an ugly pie. Yet he finds pies that are pleasing to the eye.  But Ol’ Bear wants to start cooking up something ugly himself.  At the end of the story time Ms. Amanda passed out servings of Ugly Pie she made for the children. Don’t forget to pick up this amazing story at any of the Houston County Libraries.
