In The Spotlight: New Juvenile Nonfiction

The Houston County Public Library System is pleased to offer over one hundred new juvenile nonfiction works! These are perfect for personal development, group study, or school research projects.  Subjects range from the craft of writing to endangered species to American archaeology. Highlighted is a series on future transportation that can be found at each library branch:

About the Future Transport Series
How will people travel around in the future? Future Transport shows the exciting and realistic possibilities. By the mid-twenty-first century workers could be zooming to the office on a bullet train or taking a weekend drive through the country in a car that hovers; on vacation, families might fly across the globe in a Boeing Dreamliner, then rent a Dolphin hydrofoil, the jetski of tomorrow. Space travel, once reserved for astronauts, will be more available to future tourists. Photos and drawings fill every page and feature examples of the past, present and futuristic modes of travel while introducing the technology behind the engineering.  –
